Front driver door adjustment

Has anyone done door adjustment?
My front driver door appears to have slipped down just s but. Enough to notice visually and on highway, to tell by increased noise.
Want to get that sorted out and wonder if anyone did this themselves, how easy it is, and what I would need to do it.

Thanks for any help.

Get the special shims. 5 min and a triple square. Super-easy.

I have the shims and triple square. Is there a procedure to doing this? Don't want to mess up so I have problems closing. Do I need a lift under the door or something to suspend door from? Trying to get best way to adjust.

I assume your door is sagging so you will need to shim the lower hinge between the door frame and hinge plate. Of the two bolts that attach the hinge to the door, only one needs to come all the way out. Simply loosen the other to allow enough space to insert a new shim. Mark around the hinge plate lightly with a pencil. Look at the shims and you will see that one of the bolt holes is slotted and one isnt. Take the bolt out all the way on the position that is NOT slotted. Open the door all the way. The weight of the door will hold it against the hinge. You will have to lift the door with your knee while you insert the shim. Your going to laugh at how easy this is!

Good. I will give it a try soon. A shop offered to do this for $150. I thought ok at first, then said no, thinking how easy he threw the number out. Went on here to check.
The door appears to have lowered. Looks like I'll have to shift door up with the shims in place.
Thinking to use jack lift under trim part of door, lined with lots of clothing, etc, from pad and prevent breaking something. Will also give me control to lift slowly and evenly.
That's just me thinking out loud.

Sorry for bumping this old thread, I'm having this same issue just on my driver's door for my 13' GTS. Are the shims just washers? The dealer will have this kit available?

These aee not just washers. These shims are rectangular, for perfect fit under door hinge. You have to loosen hinge and slide them under hinge, then tighten. Read above and google these shims and on ebay too.

Here is the 'Buy It Now' button to purchase.

Part Number: 955-531-483-00

Of course, you will go and make sure there is a better deal somewhere else, right?
