interesting info!!!

whassup guys,,i found this on another forum,,,

Some friends of mine "played" around with the current powerkit motronic software and the Turbo S motronic software. Now here's the surprise: there is not ONE SINGLE different parameter, even the checksum comes out the same.
Furthermore, the software version is exactly the same.

Meaning: power is the same. Good news for powerkit owners.

intercooler (left& right)
engine software
brake calipers (front & rear)
brake discs (front & rear)
brake pads (front& rear)
brake ducts (front)
wheel bearing (rear)
air suspension control unit
shock struts (front)
air ducts from and to intercoolers
tie rods (front)

Something else that is interesting.....
In this months issue of Excellence there is a one-pager on the s that says the boost is brought up from 1.6 to 1.9 bar with the new CTT S.
I was not aware that my car was boosting 1.6?
I have never seen it boost past 0,6 on the boost guage with stock software.
Any explanation on this?

Get the factory powerkit brakes from Carnewal for around $4k shipped(someone from Rennteam was nice enough to post this info) and have them installed for under $1k. Dealers don't sell the brakes seperate from PK. I wouldn't hesitate to do it!
Hanny, i'm just talking about the secondary cat bypass, not the main..
that will give you 27HP, that doesnt do anything, it;s a silencer,LOL

Damn Hanny i was about to buy new wheels, haha PK-wheels-PK-wheels,

well normal atmospheric pressure is ~ 1 bar
turbos basically compress more air in the pistons. so without turbo the pressure or "boost" is 1 bar. when your indicator sez .6 i guess its like compressing roughly 60% more air in it.
i think.... someone correct me if im wrong.

thats all true. but if some article says a car is supposed to have 1.6BAR of boost, that doesn't include atmospheric pressure.

Then can you explain how the powerkit version produces 500 hp, and the CTS develops 520 hp
