Ran The CT @ The Strip
Ran The CT @ The Strip
It was a perfect night for it (low 50's) and some buddies were heading out so I said why not....
I made 3 Runs...
1. 13.9@102
2. 13.46@103.54
3. 13.44@103.76
I am pretty happy with the runs, would have liked to see the trap a bit higher, but then again I hit rev limiter on all 3 runs in both 1st and 2nd gear (I have to figure out why it wasn't shifting quick enough because I was shifting well in time).
A friend in school (whose Familly owns Champion Porsche) ran his CT also and I believe his ran somthing like 13.6@106 then the other night he went back and ran somthing like a 13.2@108. I am not sure what he has done exactly, but I believe similar mods to mine.
Just thought I would share!!
Evan
PS- It is funny running 13's in a truck there, everyone was like OMG!!!

Evan,
Thanks for sharing......
My thought would be to launch with PSM off in drive but hold the brakes till you hit about .4 boost and then let her rip. That seems to be the quickest launches for me. I suppose you could hold it till you are boosting higher but I always feel like the truck is going to rip itself apart when I am holding the brake and launching.

"I think" that if the launches were perfected, his car should hit high 12's with his current setup. The 22"s could also have something to do with it. Not sure exactly how much of a factor the larger rolling mass is in this equation.
I have heard that the base RuF tune of 530hp runs 12's and that is basically filters, IC's, exhaust, bypass pipes, and ECU tuning.

I am indeed runing FVD Software, Cat Bypass, FVD Muffler and BMC Filters (IE-Level 2). I have had my truck dynoed and it made a good bit more power than even claimed by FVD (540HP/580TQ) so I know its running right (unless somthing happened between dyno and drag which I will be sending my ECU to Germany to double check). My launches were pretty decent actually, I was pulling off 1.9? 60's by the end of the night... I don't see how a stock CT (which is 90HP and 150TQ less than my truck) could have possibly ran 13.5 unless they are crazy launching it at like full boost or somthin... Like I said, I am happy with the time, however, I am going to double check to make sure everything is still alright as I was expecting somthing more like my buddy's time of 13.2@108
Regards,
Evan
PS- Hanny what did yours run in the 1/8th mile and is it modded?? I don't have my slips in front of me, but mine shows 1/8th mile so i would love to compare!
