Any updates? Are we hitting the dyno this week?

 

With a little luck, we will be on the dyno Friday. We are still machining oil and water line adapters for the turbos. We CAD designed and made OEM like adapters to get these Garrett turbos have water-cooling like the OEM turbos. Due to the extreme heat and lack of access to the turbos, Porsche cooled the turbos with engine coolant to extend the turbo life. We want to retain this feature and offer the same OEM longevity with our upgrade as Porsche offers stock. To get all of these OEM features adapted to our turbos, our philosophy is to make them better than OEM so we have spent an extra day on the details to ensure it will be perfect. I will document the details and post pictures in the morning.

We are almost done with the turbo install. It has taken longer as usual to get all of the parts manufactured and fitting just perfect. The turbos will be completely installed today with all of our custom lines, etc and we will have the engine back in the car Monday. Here are some photos from yesterday and today.

 

Very nice, I am looking forward to the results and the release of a high HP turbo kit. 520 HP just isnt cutting it anymore

The project is progressing very well. The car is running but I have not yet driven it, though I will be driving it in the morning. Here is where we are at:

• Turbos are on with all of the proper oil line adapters, water cooling and oil drain fittings.
• Larger intercoolers are installed with proper modifications
• Engine is back in the car with new fluids (oil, coolant etc)
• Complete exhaust is installed: high flow cats, secondary bypass pipes and full exhaust
• EVO Diverter valves are in
• EVO dual venturi intake system completed and will be installed in the AM.

Any updates?

 

I have been driving the "beast" all last week and this weekend. We will be dyno testing it today or tomorrow. All I can say is the power is INCREDIBLE Stock the performance was 15.8 0-100 as measured by my driftbox. I did some quick runs last week and got the 0-100 down to 11.8 seconds with our setup. I will post some more pics and details shortly.
