I have a CTT with fabspeed bypass pipes with no exhaust just straight pipes and a GIAC chip. I took it to the track and the best i ran was a 14 flat.

What's up?
I feel this truck is way faster then my e46 M3 and i ran a 13.4 in that.
What's wrong with my beast? Is it me?

What was your 60' time and your trap speed? Are you running on 22's? Where's the track and what were the temps?

It could be a lot of things.

There's a few tricks etc... and I'd need to go play with one for a while first to remember the balance/naunces between bogging and hooking in that thing correctly first...

I did a very slight boost launch (holding brake and gas) in tip mode with PSM off for my best run. However I hit rev limiter shifting 2nd and 3rd which slowed me a good bit. I bet a on a perfect run with a good launch I could run 13 flat even with the 22's and maybe very high 12's with some lighter rims .

Alex,

How do you recommend launching? Also, I have 20" Champion wheels on the truck because thay're much lighter than stock. Is there any real advantage to going smaller even if the weight savings is minimal?

Thanks

Trap speed was 100mph, the temp was 65 degrees and i'm running on 20''s.

Think it could be my straight pipes? I also have a 200 pound stereo system in it.

WOW evan! I tried tip the first 2 runs and i kept hitting the limiter from 1st to 2nd. I ran a 14.6 with the tip. Then i just did it with PSM off in auto and i ran the 14flat.

Something is wrong here..I'm going to go back tomorrow.

My runs were in 85 degree weather, high humidity, full tank of gas, 22's, hit the limiter, etc..... Bascially I had everything going against me even for my 13.4!
Let us know how it goes!
Evan
PS- Shoot me your email when you get a chance, would like to chat!
