Seat belt alarm

Does anybody know how to bypass the seat belt alarm system? ( the annoying alarm that starts up if you don't wear your seat belt)

Remember that an air bag can cause a lot of damage without your seat belt on. And even belted, I'm seeing a lot of forearm injuries from non 9--3 hand positions. But you probably just want to disarm the noise while you're putting the belt on, right?

I didn't have the seatbelt light on even when I did not wear it few months ago before my dealer fixed my car (something wrong happened, my mileage didn't go up and at the end after they fixed it, it went down for a few miles)

Now I still don't have the alarm on when I don't wear it, but the light is on! try to ask your dealer to do something about it? I'm sure they can do it

Unfortunately, certain thing that are meant for you saftey (in Porsche's book) has no way to be by-passed. The seat belt alarm is one of them. The other one is the transmission's hesitation in a cold start which for the benefit of the vehicle it is there. Yet, should you choose to by-pass it you can shift to Tiptronic mode. In any case, why argue with the manufacturer as they are the one who knows best about our vehicle.

Yeah... but Im not sure about the carrera , but on the 03 911 turbo's the manufacturer just gives a warning on the led situated on the dashboard. pushing on one of the gear levers turns off the warning, and voila you don't need to wear the seat belt.

...lol. so many on here acting as big brothers to him.
As usual, he can get the info regardless, and am sure he understands he is responsible for his own actions. He wants no seat belts, his business.
If he gets caught without them, his business. Good luck.
