Never had a problem with mine either, but i did notice that you are not able to open the rear window unless the tailgate is closed

I've found that you have to pull the glass down fast - not slam it - inorder to get it to close properly. If you slam it down, it does not stay locked and is wobbly. I've had no problems with the automatic tailgate.

All of you need to get the hatch mechanism adjusted by the dealer, you describe very common issues, fixed in about 20 minutes.

Deetz the rattle or closing problems etc are caused by the incorrect adjustment of the latch.

The motor for the wiper is in the tailgate so the latch is also part of the motor mechanism.

Its very easy to adjust, it will stop the rattle and make it easier to close, I had it last June and I did not even have to leave the car to have the adjustment done.

The cold start issue you may be refering to could be the transmission program on cold start which starts and holds first gear and other low gears in an attempt to get the cats up to temp to reduce emissions.

If this is the case its normal.

The remote takes a bit of getting used to, its very short range and takes a bit of getting used to.

Basically the range is about 10 ft, some a bit more some a bit less based on the approach angle.

You need to press and hold to unlock sometimes especially if you just locked it. Some sort of timeout has to occur before the open command is accepted (about 2 secs).

Viper, Same problem with my back glass. Had it ajusted by dealer, now to lock it I close gently to first lock detent then slight extra push to lock. B4 had to slam to lock it,only locked about half the time. Get yours adjusted.
