'12 Cayenne S Engine Stall
I'm just not gonna be the guy caught in an accident with a cayenne, when the danger is so obvious. I don't see a leg to stand on it there is an accident. Porsche tells me there is no other report of this problem. They are in denial at our expense. I have refused to take the car back. Apparently the car computer does not record the events, according to the Porsche mechanics.

Since you seem to have one of the troublesome cars, why not go to a big empty lot like a University parking lot on the weekend and try to reproduce the problem and video tape it if you can get it to stall.
It happened three times and that was enough for me. I sent the car back to the dealer and requested a replacement. Of course Porsche declined the request. I have refused to take the car back, since August. My attorney and I are working on other options. I would recommend a collective legal action if there enough interested and aggrieved parties.
How can you reproduce a problem u cannot predict. I refuse to drive such a dangerous car. You have to determine the level of risk you can tolerate. Sorry, I don't wanna kill anybody or hurt myself.
Well sorry to hear that. Dunno what else to say except good luck with your lawsuit. I guess since you haven't hit anyone, your only real damages is a lemon law car for your state. But then again, you'd still need to prove your car stalls out. Hence why I said to find an open parking lot and do some tests with hard turns and stops. By the way, you have a 2012 V6, S or Turbo?
I've had the exact same issue as well. My S picked up in May 11 new and with only 8000km on it now has done it twice. The first time I actually thought I might have moved the key with my kneecap while driving but then it happened a second time when I knew for sure I didn't do anything. I told the dealership but they reported no one else bringing the issue up. In both cases I was making a slow turn when everything just shut off and the dashboard just died. Luckily no one behind or in front of me. I've tried replicating it but to no avail. Now that I've seen it a couple of times I'll know to react quick enough to restart the car again quickly. I'm following this issue on this and other boards to see if there are some common elements to diagnose.
