I tried to PM "TheDoug" guy about a week ago about his:

"They tell us the solution was to reprogram the ECU (or whatever the Porsche acronym is) based on a 'tech note'... "

but haven't heard back.

2012 CTT with about 13,000 miles. Happened a few weeks ago when coming to a stop sign and taking off. More of a flutter to the gas pedal then a dead stall. I told the dealer and of course they could not reproduce that or any other issues I had with my car. Also, I was told there is not log. It seems more and more like you need to record the even happening...as ridiculous as that may sound. And in some cases it is just too dangerous to record these issues. Not what we should expect from the "Best SUV on the market?"

Was it a flutter as in it should have been in 1st Gear to take off but was in 2nd or 3rd? Did it feel dangerous?

For the people who were on that slight incline, I noticed that the green word "HOLD" comes on briefly in my driveway. It is the feature where the car activates this to keep it from rolling. There was one time that the car was a little late to release this HOLD as I pressed the accelerator, therefore almost brake-torquing the car for a little bit.

May that have something to do with it? The HOLD illuminates very briefly as the incline is not steep and I am turning away from it.

Reduced engine power

A day after the 20K service at the dealer, the check engine and reduced engine power message came on. The 2011 Cayenne turbo would not start right away, cranking several seconds before the engine runs. However, it has the error message. I read in this forum of problems like Wa29 campaign which has been done already months ago to my vehicle. Then there is the high performance fuel pump failure that needs replacing. Can anyone provide an update on their vehicle that has gone through the same message? IS the fix reliable? Did it recur?

Do you still have the cayenne? Please see my post. I wonder if you had the same symptoms. I think I know of you. Do you go to FCI?

Hm. Just found about this thread. I have 955 and similar thing happened to me after I put gear into neutral from reverse (stalled). It seems like the engine stalled in the middle of driving for your case, which is a lot more dangerous than my case. No error message, nothing whatsoever. I just restarted the car and never had a problem since then (for last 4 years). I don't know if the source of the issue is the same but if it is, it's an on-going problem then.

Yeah I go to FCI. I sold my cayenne back 2 Flow Porsche @ a loss. Was just 2 risky and dangerous. I sure would like 2 recover my losses from Porsche if it is possible.

Jason Hausler did not have an explanation? I hope they can fix mine. Made arrangements with Porsche roadside for vehicle to be taken to FCI in am. I AM SURE the guys at service department are sick of seeing the vehicle. They just worked on the 20 k service. I hope there would be no further problems. Almost like a litany since acquiring it 12/10 from a NASCAR driver via FCI. I won't list them.

We're in same field, but I am in Danville. Makes me wonder if I should get another Porsche as my retirement vehicle. Had a great experience with the 2007 997TT, 2006 997C2S, 2004 996 40th anniversary. I wish I kept the twin turbo.

Still got my 2007 997TT. I love it and it's my daily drive. I would not buy new Porsche though. The new engines are suspect. Glad 2 know we are in the same field, nephrology.

I share the same skepticism regarding newer engines. On a good note (for now), the cayenne was fixed. Dealer diagnosed a sensor problem in the sensor system. It was ordered and delivered overnight. Service department installed it today. Vehicle runs normal again.

I think BMWs share a similar problem with some fo the Cayennes to an extent.
