'12 Cayenne S Engine Stall
Hi everybody,
I got the engine shut-off problem a week ago on my 2012 Cayenne Turbo. I brought the car the Dealer and They could not find anything. I filed a complaint to the NHTSA and the PCNA but have not heard anything yet. I found 2 more cases on the Rennlist web page

For members that have the same problem, please push on to the PCN and Porsche of Germany for solution.

That was over 2 weeks ago.
The car is in Thailand not official Porsche dealer just big importer. They said it had error code faults and leave it with them.
The metal coolant pipe into the thermostat housing was cracked also leaking coolant.
Will see if the CT stalls again when get it back.
I had the same issue with my '11 Cayenne S about 6 weeks ago. Hard acceleration, followed by hard brakes, then the car died while making a right turn into a driveway. (Why does this always seem to happen on a right turn??)
It has not happened since.
I discussed with my dealer and they had not heard of this issue.
Will suggest reprogramming ECU when I bring it in.

Cooperate with other owners, collect all VIN numbers and official petition letters, scan each letter with a full list and send it to Germany with mentioning a probability of a class law suit due to endangering customers lives and safety of others. That should make them act.
One of the first posters said- quote-
I have retained a lawyer. I would like other folks with similar problems to join me to get Porsche to do something about the danger this cars pose. My name is Benjamin Igwemezie. My private email is benzazas@gmail.com.
I put that out there in case anyone is interested.

I copied the following from 2011 Porsche Cayenne Owner Manual:
"If you believe that your vehicle has a fault whichcould cause a crash, injury or death, you should
immediately inform the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche
Cars N.A.).
If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open
an investigation, and if it finds that a safety problem
exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall
and remedy campaign."
I did informed the PCNA and filed a complaint to the NHTSA. My Dealer fixed the problem because PCNA made them to not by the Dealer own will.

So I guess the million dollar question is...what was the fix...Some say software update.
