My loaner today
My loaner today
I have a new CT. In for an oil change and two software updates and my dealer gives me a Panamera 4 loaner. I got to admit it the P4 grew on me as the day wore on - but I am very surprised at how much better I liked by Cayenne. I know the Pan Turbo is another level for sure but the styling, ergonomics, visability, finish ...even the ride on my SUV is imho superior to the Panamera.
My .02. I really like my truck.

I always get a Panamera V6 loaner, but they only have 2..so i just give them a little advance notice
damn you naples!... both here in tampa and the one in sarasota are a no go.
I had the same experience with a P4 loaner. Dealer had to replace my defective compass in the CS and gave me the Panamera. I didn't think the v6 was adequate (just my opinion of course) and not a fan of the low seating; I guess this is why I ended up with an SUV. I did not think the handling was anything special, but the car, being a loaner, had virtually no options. Really missed the entry and drive and the standards seats were really not comfortable; I am glad I opted for the 14 way. To each his own I guess.

I drove the Panamera at a local Porsche driving experience event in an autocross track set up at Angel Stadium, the Panamera S at the launch event up in Beverly Hills and the Turbo at an aviation event in Carlsbad.
The base Panamera is underpowered, IMO.
The S is a great driving big sedan.
The Turbo is wicked fast.... especially in the 50-100 mph range. Wow.
As much as I like the way they drive, I can not warm to the exterior. I just don't find them good looking. And for me, there are HUGE blindspots inside that car and the mirrors suck.
I much prefer the utility, styling and visibility of the Cayenne S.
But that's just one man's opinion.

Just could not get past the rear end on the Panny and personally felt that the Cayenne was a more complete package. Even the interior suits the SUV IMO. Never understood why the Panny is priced well above a comparable model of Cayenne.
Oh, the last time I dropped of my Cayenne for an oil change, I got a Chrysler town and country
