Have a 2012 CTT drove the Cgts.

I just purchased a 2012 CTT ( my third) it was great until I drove the 2013 cayenne GTS. The GTS was more engaging , no turbo lag and much better exhaust note. I think I can get out of the CTT without to much loss ( got a great price on the CTT). Should I do it? Thanks for the advice.

No lag is true...no boost as well
Drove my CT on the Autobahn and found it plenty engaging
Get a Tubi exhaust installed on your CT,and the unfortunately muted sound becomes a low roaring growl
I am very happy with my exhaust note..which has become quite noticeable and never fails to turn heads upon startup
Go for a spirited drive with your CT,then try the GTS again
To conclude,my recommendation would be to get the car you really enjoy the most

Also drove the GTS, really like how Porsche put it together! End of the day, I'll still pick the turbo, as a DD car, the GTS is "on" all the time where as the Turbo is more comfortable until you push it. Same reason I went for the 997 turbo rather than the GT3' just my 2 cent

Add exhaust or secondary cat bypass pipes & Evoms or GIAC tune and the CTT will come to life. Not that it doesn't have a lot of life without these mods.

I like the fact that its "on" all the time, feels very peppy, so good that I'm considering letting my 991 fun car go when the GTS arrives, I am getting some serious back pains from getting in and out of the car .
Said that, I would never trade a well optioned Turbo for a GTS, but I would trade an "S" for a GTS any day

Test drove the GTS today,as well as a 991S 7MT
Boy,it was fun using a stick again
Pedal feel and gearbox are pretty smooth
However,I would not want to drive it for too long because I felt a little uncomfortable about how my left leg kept rubbing against the seat every time I pressed on the clutch
Quicker off the line than my CT,but I am pretty sure than on a mile race I would quickly catch up and ten easily overtake..kinda felt like the GTS(fast at first, but then plateaus...)

I agree that your CTT will kill any Cayenne on a mile race but did you feel the GTS quicker off the line? How did you like the suspension?

First off,you will be very happy with your GTS
Good bang for your buck
The lower trim and side skirts look even sportier than my CT
Suspension felt the same, firm the way I like it
Off the line it seemed to rev up a bit quicker, and for a brief second, does feel just as fast
Exhaust has character too,but different:more high pitched,and buzz-sawy
Overall, nicely put together and 'bacana' to drive as well
Enjoy
Ps:I was referring to feeling faster than a 991S...as well
