REVEALED: Porsche unveils the Cayenne Turbo S

We knew it wouldn't be long, but here it is: the range-topping Cayenne.

The Cayenne Turbo S gets the Panamera Turbo S's engine running 550 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is good for a 0-62 mph run in a bonkers 4.5 seconds. Visual upgrades include gloss back trims on the air intake slats, mirror housings and blacked-out Turbo II rims as well as standard fitment of the carbon interior package and a special leather interior package. Fuel economy and CO2 emissions from the regular Turbo carry over unchanged at 24.6 mpg and 270 g/km.

Pictures below.

Aside from engine upgrades there does not seem to be any noticeable external changes. Does it warrant the higher price tag for mere HP bump? Could you not modify a GTS to get Turbo numbers through cheaper means?

I do like the black gloss rims and that there are two more two-tone interior options, especially like the red/black combo

Does that mean Porsche solved the problem with cracking titanium turbine blades in both the Panamera tts and the CTT w power kit ?*Hence the recall*
Probably, since it was only last week that my dealer's service dept was working on the turbos of several Panamera turbo s..
Anywhoo,2 tone interior looks funky(with what looks like matching colored calipers)
However,I would have expected some more significant upgrades to warrant the "s" badge
I definitely have more power with the few little mods I made, which represent a better value in my opinion..
Oh yeah and btw..+1 for the pics

Porsche just replaced titanium-aluminium alloy turbine wheels with standard production ( ordinary Cayenne / Panamera Turbo ) turbine wheels.

The color matching is off on the posted pictures (too blue/purple). Going the web site reveals a more normal red.

The gloss exterior is an available option for other models, so it seems a somewhat unique interior and the horsepower are the major draws (oh, yes the S badge).

For someone who is currently in the market for a turbo, the S is pretty cool..with the added bonus of extra power
Does not make sense for me since just with my GIAC ecu flash,I at least have the power of the S..and with the plenum+exhaust to get the most out of the flash,I should be at a conservatively estimated 600hp
Anywhoo,as far as I am concerned, it is not really an 'S" without the PCCBs
Though,I do think the colored interior is funky

Considering we support the Turbo S on the older DFI models with significant power gains, your car is definitely above what a Turbo S will make.

You can't get a GTS to turbo power nubmers without adding a turbo or SC. You can get a regular CTT to much more power then a CTTS with much less money. The same goes for the PTT and PTTS, neither of the S's warrant the higher price tag.

Your car is at 620 or more with those mods.
