soft close doors
soft close doors were first introduced along time ago on cars like the S class and 7 series. I remember the as far back when my moms 98 W140 S 500 had them. you don't need to slam the doors to shut them, as long as you close them so the door latches, motors/vaccum will pull/suck the door in. if its a cheap option, it may be worth getting. if its expensive, im not that weak or lazy and wouldn't waste the money for it.
As Mike said, it uses motors to pull the doors tightly shut even if they are barely latched. It is very useful if you have small children, as they are often unable to close the doors well normally. We have it on a Mercedes GL550, and it works well when we drop our 6 year old off at school curbside as it allows the driver to stay in the car.
I'll tell you in a few weeks as I ordered it on mine that is on the water. I've had it on Benz's over the years. When I looked at my order the other day I said, Why the hell did I order that?
Probably because you are Carnuts !

I have them on my MY 2015. I wouldn't bother again. The Cayenne doors are so heavy they nearly always seem to close anyway.
The only time the soft-close actually comes in to play is when you don't close the doors deliberately so you can show someone you have soft-close doors!
A waste IMHO.
