Bulb Upgrade Progress
Bulb Upgrade Progress
So thought I'd make a thread outlining my progress for updating my bulbs to have more of a white look than the stock halogens. These were all done this morning so can't comment on reliability yet. All done on a 2013 GTS.
Headlights D1S bulbs:
Ordered from Maxspeed Motorsports:
So far they're looking good! Color is a very nice white w/barely a hint of blue. No errors yet!
Sidemarkers:
Also from Maxspeed
License Plate W5W LED's:
Ordered from AZN Optics.
No problems or error codes so far!
Cornering H7 Bulbs:
Ordered from Carid:
Only ones with an error code!! Light works fine when turning the wheel but I get the error code on the dash
Fog Lights H11:
Also from Carid
These are probably my favorites! They look awesome!!
Unfortunately, I didn't realize I also needed to buy bulbs to replace the High-beam lamps (H7 bulbs) on the outer most part of the headlight. After replacing everything else, the high-beams are an ugly yellow Halogen so I guess I'll be avoiding them until I can get some more bulbs. I've emailed Carid for any suggestions on the error code but haven't heard anything back.
Will cont to update as I can...
Edit 1: Well that didn't take long. Fog lamps also threw code. So all 4 Lumen LED bulbs threw codes...

Not the best pic but best I could do! I really like how it looks, especially after driving by a few Cayennes with the stock housing and bulb.
They look great, so much more fitting than the standard clear markers. Thanks for posting
For the H7 and H11, you'll need external load resistors.
This kit comes with two bulbs with the load resistors at a cheaper price:

H11: http://www.aznoptics.com/index.php?m...products_id=92

Thanks for those links! Carid sent me a pack of resistors to try out. The bulbs look identical so I'll order another set of H7's for the high-beams from AZN. Any suggestions on where I can mount the resistors?
Once exterior done, it'll be time to do the interior!
