I figured out how to get some auxiliary lighting on the front of my 2013 Cayenne.

Texas requires a front license plate. I found this tow hook licence plate mount kit from US Mills Works. Then looking around E-Bay I found license plate light mounts.

I ordered a second licence plate mount and two light mounts . A 42 " LED light bar finished the instillation. I did not want to try to run wires into the vehicle cabin so I used a wireless remote control. Not the prettiest setup but it works.

My initial question is just....why? I can only assume you do a lot of off roading or something. Will it be left on all the time or just for specific activities? It's not even centered. Sorry, scratching my head on this one.

 

Unless you're doing the Baha or Dakar, or you're going hunting.. that's as fugly as hell. And Jab's is right.. not even centred, why go to all that effort and not even centre it??

You must be from an inferior state and think that was funny. Anyway, I agree that light bar is fugly… Maybe it's for when he's evading the coppers and needs to kill the taillights but still see what's in front of him.

Yup. Texas. Cali is nice too. Anyway that light bar is ridiculous.

 

Ugh....to each his own but that LED light bar belongs on a Jeep or the FJ thats parked next to your Cayenne.

I like it. If you are in the DFW area. I would to see it in person so I can install it on my CS. I do take mine off road a lot.

And although I live in CA now, I did live in Texas. I've seen stranger down there...

 

I'd hate to be driving in front of you at night...

 

A curved version light bar would at least follow the curve of the bumper a bit better.
