thanks, must be all coincidence from long storage. will start by changing the alarm module first ...

Did the new module fix your problem?
which part number module did you use?

I’ve got a replacement module from a 2016 Cayenne awaiting install on my 2009 GTS, once I get a suitable wiper arm puller.

2014 Cayenne 3.6l same issue
New battery, same issue not everytime but the alarm going off sometimes right after locking sometimes 3hrs later.
