phil moe!!! something seems wrong here!

phil and moe maybe you pros can help me out, I just detailed my car on Thursday, needless to say I wasnt satisfied with my results, I think I did something wrong and I need help to correct this! This is the process I went with..wash,clay,Menzerna SIP Orange Pad, PO106FF Blue Pad, FMJ White Pad, polished them all in at speed 5 at a slow rate not fast and didnt remove the swirls, bird dropping stains on the paint, removed very little imperfections but not the bird droppings. Guys your help will be great and correct my mistakes!!

First mistake I see is using the 106FF and blue pad. It seems you have the blue pad and white pad application backwards. 106 should have been used with the white pad and FMJ used with the blue pad. Did you start at a low speed and work your way up to 5? Usually you want to start at 2 or 3 and work the polish in for a bit. Then you bump the speed to 5 and polish to a light haze. Other than that, not sure what else you did wrong. Did you use enough polish? You should also be checking your work with a good light and wiping off the finish with Menzerna Top Inspection after each section to see how you're doing. You should have gotten a routine of some sort from whomever you purchased the products from; I'm assuming it's Phil since it wasn't from me. Phil knows his stuff and should be able to remedy the situation. Try giving him a call tomorrow.

What about 106ff with the green pad? I heard and read that is a great combo to remove normal/light swirls.

Yes you swap the blue and the white...white should be with 106 and fmj with blue.

I'm thinking you're not working the polishes down at all. Drop me a call or watch the videos they might help a bit.

Assuming you're using/referring to Lake Country (LC) pads, the green is between the orange (light cut) and white (polishing) pads.

There is a good chance that you can not get the bird droppings out of the clear coat with the PC. In some cases even when you use a high speed buffer you still can not get the bird stains out. What you will need to do in some these cases is wet sand the area with 2000 grit sand paper until no visible etching appears, then you can use the orange pad with IP or SIP followed by the WHITE pad with 1066FF. Good luck
