Tire shine?
Tire shine?
What do you guys use to make your tires shine? I can't find a product that lasts longer than a couple of days. I like a really glossy looking tire and am getting frustrated with some of the crap out there. Help!
The Meguir's products have always done the job for me. What have you tried in the past?
On a side note, I once had a tire installer complement me on my tire protectant. He said it was the most durable stuff he had seen.

Try Meguiar's All-Season dressing. It's the their pro detailer line. It'll last about 2 weeks depending on how often you drive.

While you're at it, grab a gallon of their APC (All Purpose Cleaner) and a spray bottle. Last cleaner you'll buy.

I use this purple colored stuff from Meguires <sp?>
I use an old foam applicator to put it on and it lasts for around a week to a week and a half which matches my typical summer wash intervals.
It also smells like grape and I have am often tempted to try and taste it. I have been able to control myself--so far at least.

BUT....... What works for me is to use the Black Magic for a few months regularly. By that time it has gotten well into the tires and an almost permanent shine. Clean the tires lightly with deagreaser of some sort, it will remove the surface grime, then you can use a lighter greaseless dressing that will restore the deep gloss shine of the Black Magic. It Works!!!!!!!
Just dont rub up against the tires in your good clothes.
and wear a glove.
Never use anything but tire gel.. spray tire shine is terrible especially if u try to apply it outside, where even the slightest bit of wind can catch the mist and leave it all over your paint. i cant beleive people are still using that stuff on tires? i only use the spray for wheel wells and only when im in a garage
this is what i use. its very thick and lasts long. you can find it at your local autozone. also as far as applicators go, my favorite are the Eagle One tire shine applicators which they also sell at autozone. you get 2 applicators in a ziplock type bag for only like $2. one of these will last atleast a month with heavy use
i would also suggest investing in some latex gloves to use when apllying the tire shine
