I'm trying to help my Dad decide between buying a 2002 Ferrari Spyder (6-speed, black on black, tubi exhaust) or a 2004 Gallardo (paddle shifters, mostly stock)... Price for either one is just over $100,000 and both have roughly 8,000 miles and a clear history.

What do you think. Which one and why?

 

I would take the Gallardo.

 

Test drive both! He will like one more!

 

I would go with the Lambo...I have briefly driven both as well as an F430 and the leap between 360 and 430 is tremendous. Now if it was 430 vs. Gallardo then the 430 all the way.

Drive both. $100K doesn't sound like a bargain for an '04 G.
One is a 6MT Convertible, the other a paddle-Coupe... different animals.

 

Had a friend that bought an 04 G in 04 and then an 02 360 a year later...he said the 360 was greatest car he ever drove

 

Personally I would choose neither, but if I absolutely had to it would be the Lambo. The 360 doesn't do it for me.

hard choice... but i would have to say gallardo even tho my i know deep inside me something is calling ferrari

 

the transmission is the biggest difference to me. Does he like to shift or does he like to cruise?
