any "regular working guys" own a 360
I'm a working stiff and I have a couple of nice cars. They're a big part of how I validate working so hard. If I couldn't buy nice cars, then I don't think I'd work nearly as hard!
My 360 showed up today. Never thought it would happen and I blame it all on this thread. If I never would have found this thread I would have been happy with my 05 Boxster S.

one day I plan on obtaining the cars that I want(Audi RS4 and 993TT). I also started young. when I was 17 I bought my first new car on my own which was a 2007 VW Rabbit. After dumping a lot of money into it on modifications I got bored and when I was 19 I bought a 1987 porsche 944S. had fun with it but then found a 1986 911 whaletail that I could not pass up. when I was almost 21 I got a great promotion at my job and I sold the 911 and bought a new 2008 VW R32. that was a great car. now I got a new possition at my job which pays a lot more so I could have gotten my RS4 but my girlfriend and I decided to buy a house. so the R32 had to go and I bought a 2007 A4 to replace it. I'm only 22 and once money gets a little better I will get the cars that I want by 30. if you work hard at it you can get what ever so set your mind to.
So many different perspectives...
Interesting read.
My car payment is more than my house payment (including escrow). I don't care. I enjoy driving it every day. I get a smile on my face EVERY time I get in it. That alone is worth the price of admission.

CONGRATS on the purchase! you said at the beginning how can all of you afford it? well I guess you found your answer to the question!
I currently own a 02 C4S and am happy. I see a 360/430 in my future but can wait till the right time.
I can say I am a regular working guy, as a medical tech during the day and a DJ at night (I am on the radio though but do weddings on the side).
As with many other similar threads on this forum over the years, I have trouble believing that all of the individuals claiming "I made my first million by the time I was 18 without help or any sort of education to speak of. I simply sold trinkets by the side of the road and worked really really hard at it." As others have said, doesn't exactly add up. Not saying that it is impossible. I am saying that I believe that the number of twenty year old self made millionaires in this thread is smaller than claimed.

i love and hate this thread.
i love it because just like myself, there are plenty of people waiting on depreciated cars to be priced right, and pull the trigger. Hate it, because now i know i'm not alone and that i can do it.
I bought my acura tl knowing that i will be purchasing a toy next year. i will budget 50 -60k cash, if need be i'll finance the rest. I have my condo, got it well under value, rennovated it to my taste, i live on the water, peaceful place.
I finally graduate from university in 2 weeks, long road it took, had 2 years off, but it bothered me, so now my goal for the next year is to save the said 50-60k for the toy, can be z06, gtr (sell the acura if so), 360 (love it), porsche turbo, etc.
I want my first lambo/ferrari before i'm 30, i'm 26 now, the way things are going, looks like it will be easy, in the sense that i will use the same amount of money on different cars, buy and sell a car i like each year, and not lose much money as they are already at the bottom of the depreciation curve.
I doubt i'll be the type to buy a brand new sports car and let it lose value everytime i start the car.
The way i see it, 360/gallardos won't be 50k cars ever, they will bottom out 70k approx for a clean no story car within a year or two, enjoy it, sell it.
