The 430 is much more appealing to me than a Gallardo, but between the Murcielago and the 430, I would definitely take the Murci.

Sorry, but this is the most rediculous post ever. Styling appart, there is ABSOLUTELY no comparison between the performance of the Gallardo and the 360. It is night and day. Ive driven 360's for thousands of miles, my uncle is now on his 4th, and they are truly a gutless automobile. You may prefer the styling of one over the other, but the performance cannot be denied. Its like getting out of a 996 and into a 996TT. In my opinion, the 360 is just plain boring. Now the 430, they took a 360, added a stupid sign across the mirrors, ruined the best part of the 360, its rear end, and made the front worse. Ferrari in its infinite wisdom, released some ringer cars, got all the magazines hyped, and now the truth comes out. Just as they did on the 360 Cs. Then owners dynoed and weighed their cars, only to find they are much heavier than advertised, and dont make any additional power. In the real word, 360's dyno at 300-320 rwhp, and make 200+ ft pds of torque in a 3300pd car. That is Gutless. A Gallardo on my board just dynoed 414rwhp with the driveshaft disconnected, in also a 3300pd car. A 550 M is a quicker car than the 360, and i can show you video of what an Gallardo does to that.

Yeah, anywhere from 12.2 1/4 (Motor Trend) to 12.6 (R&T) sure makes for a gutless car. Makes me wonder if you've ever actually driven one.

If you think you can take your 360 and run anywhere near a 12.2 -12.6 you are crazy. Guys in Z06's have a hard timing running 12.2's, and a Z06 will dust a 360. Same thing for the Porsche 996TT. That will also blow the doors off a 360, and they have a very hard time running a 12.2. Besides, its not ET that matters, its MPH. In the 12.2 run, the car trapped a whooping 112 or 113mph. THATS THE SAME MPH C5 Vettes have been clocked at!

As for me having driven one, you may have seen the videos for sale at www.beyondthequarter.com. In the first issue, there is a segment with me and a 360, running along at 150mph.

To give an ideal example of how gutless the 360 is, running along at 80mph on I-95 in 6th, a taxi comes up my ***. I downshift to 4th, and floor it( i know, i could of gone to third, but come on, its a taxi) the 360 makes noise like its going 300 mph, but it couldnt shake the taxi at like 120mph! The guy laughed at me!

Reminds me of the time I was driving a Gallardo and couldn't shake a VW Beetle, tried for all I was worth. The guy was just convulsed with laughter, he couldn't believe he was keeping up.

I certainly dont see everyone and their mother with a 360... I do see that with porsches.

I'd also take a 360 over a Gallardo....

with that said... 430... I assume you're on the list if you're deciding between the 430 and Gallardo... otherwise... I too would take the Murc at the 300K price tag.

I know EXACTLY what Allanlambo means. I bought my 360 just to humiliate guys in 'stangs, 'vettes and taxis. What a pos it has turned out to be! It's like I'm embarrassed to be seen driving it. Imagine the shame of being a couple tics slower than a Gallardo.

That's it. I'm giving it away. Who wants this piece of crap?

Hey, everyone has their own reasons for buying a car. Some people like power, some people its not that imortant to. Hence the reason why some people buy a regular 996 and others will only buy the TT. To the avg person they look the same.

I mean come on this is pathetic:
http://www.ktrperformance.com/servic.../360modena.mov

Not even looking at the Hp, but Torque? 225ft pds?

Even my bones stock Esprit made 300 ft pds and almost 350rwhp, and it weighs alot less than the 360, especially the Spider.

If a car doesnt have power, it gets dull quickly. The looks and sound arent enough, especially when those are mediocre at best.

I know. You're right. It is pathetic. I'm so embarrassed by my dyno stats I try to cover them up at every stoplight. It's downright humiliating.

Hey, I'll be frank here. With your record of frequent bannings from boards, you're not exactly at the top of my list for believable posts.

Since you're so good with links, lets see one where it says the "Gallardo turned an 11.7 sec. 1/4 mile."

Until then, why continue to stray off topic?

I've got a Japanese video of professional drivers drag racing a stock Turbo vs a stock Modena, and the Modena was just a tick behind.

I wouldn't call that slow.

Considering how "little" torque the 360 has and how it has to be revved to get its power, I'm guessing that the difference between downshifting to 3rd vs downshifting to just 4th would be huge.

Take the S2000 for example--it's as fast as a civic unless you're flogging that thing.......
