430 or Gallardo?
#46
Oh by the way--I'm not saying a 360's got a chance against a Gallardo.
In terms of performance, I would take the Gallardo, hands down.
The only 360 I'd probably take over a Gallardo is a Stradale.
BUT--I believe the original point of the thread was 430 vs Gallardo................

Until then, why continue to stray off topic?

Hey, I'll be frank here. With your record of frequent bannings from boards, you're not exactly at the top of my list for believable posts.

Well far be it for me to deny you your right to live on Fantasy Island. Believe what you want to believe, but deep down, you know its fact that when you see a Z06, Porsche or anything else for that matter, you cringe.

I wouldn't call that slow.
Considering how "little" torque the 360 has and how it has to be revved to get its power, I'm guessing that the difference between downshifting to 3rd vs downshifting to just 4th would be huge.
Take the S2000 for example--it's as fast as a civic unless you're flogging that thing.......

Just for you, same magazine, Autocar.

Thanks. But, I think the trap speed should be higher than 114mph if the 1/4 is indeed 11.7 sec.
At any rate, I think a direct comparison test will put the argument to rest. Car and Driver should do one eventually.

You're kidding, right? He's blatantly anti-Ferrari, and has been booted off many other boards for his over-the-line posts.

I am anti-Ferrari. But the difference is, i am anti-Ferrari with plenty of Ferrari ownership experience. It is this experience, along with Ferrari's disregard for their customers, their lack of style in their modern offerings, and their continueing downhill trend that has made me that way.
From your posts, you can tell, power doesnt mean much to you. You bought your ride to pose, so you can say i drive a Ferrari, and then you get upset when people dont pay any attention to it.
If Ferrari built great cars today, there would be room in my garage for both marks, like ive tried to have in the past. The 355 Spider inmo, was the last great design from Ferrari. I decided to try it, it left the same impression i had when i bought my Testarossa, boring, crappy build, and style that quickly dulls.
Thankfully, the 360/430 is soo uninspired, i will never make that mistake again.
