Then you show inside the trailer and my eyes shot open and no words. A purchase of a lifetime, enjoy it, drive it, have fun. Do we have first time driving impressions yet?

Thanks Marc, appreciate the good wishes. This F40 is not the LM version. Only 6 true LM's were made by Michelloto in Italy, and they are up there in price. This has a Tubi LM exhaust which is essentially straight pipes from the cats back. (I will post a pic of the engine bay)

As far as the F50 goes, I don't think I covet that as much. interestingly, the fellow I bought this from has an F50. Said he drove it once and put it up on the rack ("what a bore")...I've heard those comments before, but when I drove the F50, i certainly didn't find the experience boring !
For some reson thought they made more LM's (Comp) my error...just looked a little different on the interior then again last time I was in the F40 was in 1995, even though I have seen them in the dealers here....I have heard the same on the F50's there are 2 that I see rarely around here. As well a true sports car has to be a coupe and the F50 is not, you have driven the F50 so you are way ahead of me on that. Seems like the guy you got the car from really took care of it I would love to see those Exhaust pics when you have time....all I remember is the F40 has so much pull that it literally pins you in the seat under hard acceleration from 2-4th gears...seems you have a classic and they still bring good money I see them over 300k at both Shelton and Collection when they have had them which is rare.

Congratulations on an amazing car. Everytime I get on the computer, I go to this thread to see your car again. Just wow.

And the guy you bought your car from is probably real sick of the round tail lights. Him and I should trade cars.

Ahh the F40, one of the last raw exotic supercars, friggin electronics getting in the way of all the new supercars. Enjoy that thing, it truly is priceless.

Congrats.
I still remember the first time I saw it....I was on my trusty bike going to my buddy’s house and our neighbor just happens to be backing his out of the driveway.
