I love the exotic looks of the G, but fear the 360 may be the more exciting driver. If I get the 360, I'll also have enough in my budget to get an Elise as an AutoX car.

In short, I have no idea how to make this decision...
A 2000 360 is NOT more exciting than a 2006 G, as I have said before its not even close. The G can be your daily driver, weekend car, or track car.

GO FOR THE GALLARDO!

2000 360 is far less $$ than a 2006 G.
A 2006 G is in the range of an 04 CS.

I concur...I don't see any real benefit in getting a newer 360 (I'm looking for a 6-speed manual regardless of what car I get) so long as the car has a documented maintainence history and passes a PPI.

My budget is about $165k. I've seen some 06 G's at or below that number (most recently, a lightly-optioned 06 yellow 6spd went for $159k), but they're few and far between; it is going to be extremely hard to find a pearl orange 06 one for that price...an 04 or 05 G is more realistic.

On the 360 end, a 1999-2000 red or yellow 6spd with 20k miles should run $110-120k; this leaves me enough to get an Elise as an AutoX car. If I could find a red 04 CS for $165k I'd take it (as would many, many other people), but I believe those are closer to $185-190k at this moment...

Shoot, I got my mint 99 360 6 speed with 26k miles for a couple grand over $100k...US car from a Ferrari Dealership with fresh 30k service back in Dec 06. Oh, and it has TUBI. There are deals out there, $10-$15k off asking prices is atleast what most dealers take off.

I recently purchased a 360 Spider, I also considered the G or G spyder. I'm 6'5" and the 360 is much more comfortable for me than the Lambo. I got rid of my AM DB9 for the 360 and it's much more comfortable than the Aston.

I would say drive both first, I did. I decided on the F-car. The fact that the resale value is much stronger is just a bonus. Both are great cars and offer something different for everyone. It seems that Ferrari bashing is the "in thing" nowadays.

Everyone's got a G, it's the latest fad, save some money and get a 99-01 360. Don't get me wrong, I love the G spyder though

I have driven both many times, as I sure most of you have, and from personal experience I honestly would go with the Gallardo. Plus it's the more reliable of the 2, and has 4 wheel drive.

I have traded cars with a G owner and driven back to back on the same roads. I much preferred the euro, lightly modded 360 to the G.
And the CS is heads above for fun, light and tight handling and of course(and oh so important) sound.
Just another opinion and one weighed by the fact that I am tall and the G feels so cramped with very poor view and light while the 360/cs cabin is much more spacious feeling with much better visibility.

Go for the Gallardo!!! I mean do you looking 2004 or 2006 type Gallardo.

Deosnt matter go for G again.

IMO 360 is a great looking car but its sound is nothing without an Tubi or Capristo.

However compared to stock vs stock sound 360 has better sound. But compared to aftermarket exh vs aftermarket exh Gallardo rocks and if it is 04 car it has a significant power gain.

I do not agree Gallardo is much comfortable , because Gallardo has poor view when at R mode also Gallardo height is lower than 360.

To compare performance. No comparison Gallardo is ahead significantly.

Also in Gallardo you can see high speeds without any traction worries. But i am not sure if it is safety to have high speeds on 360.

IMO 360 is nice looking car, but there are many 360s around but Gallardo is rare and it has also a different design.

360 is a nice weekend street car , but Gallardo is different machine it is different and unique with its design and sound

Honestly these cars are soooo different, you shoudl be able to drive them and know exactly what you want. There are people that would take the 360 in a second and not regret it, and there are people who would take the G, it really just depends on the person.
