Thumbs up Recommendations for a few days getaway??

I am thinking of going to South Florida for a few days getaway. Does anyone have any recommendations other than Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. Any good resorts (All Inclusive or Exclusive for couples) without having to fly down to Bahamas or Jamaica?

Thx

I dont mind going to Miami but prefer to chill at a resort instead of running around town.

How is the RITZ in South Beach?

If you don't want to be in Miami because you have to run around town, you will certainly hate the SoBe ritz...thats the heart of ****ty traffic...try ritz on Key Biscayne or if you want to be in the SoBe area I prefer The Setai

I would suggest the Ritz Carlton on Key Biscayne or if you want to do the keys, Little Palm Island. The Ritz on Key Biscayne feels like a completely different setting than Miami, a lot of families though. If you want something more secluded, try Little Palm Island, it is exclusive for couples.

As someone else said, if you want some seclusion, stay away from the Ritz on South Beach.

Kind of a cool resort/city combo...

is the Turnberry Isle resort in Aventura. Only a few minutes from Miami or downtown Lauderdale, half hour ish from Palm Beach. Super nice resort that is isolated from city noise/problems, but close to cool stuff. Fantastic spa, great food, they spent about $100 milliion on it last year. Skews oldet though, so that may not be for you. SoBe seems over to me, Mandarin Orieintal is great, and I hear the Fontainbleu renovation is fabulous.

Try the Biltmore Hotel in the Gables, much more relaxing. Sunday brunch is a must there.
