Keep my white GT3 or go for the white Audi R8?
i just skimmed through it, what interested me more were the lap times.
take from it what you will.
edit - i dont believe the GT3's position in the lap times was a misprint. you state that is wasnt in the article but neither were any of the other cars on the list. i believe this is a running tally that evo keeps at this track. just fyi

There have been reports of VERY fast R8 lap times (I don't know where). Mid-engine, all wheel drive is a great combo on the track. There is no doubt in my mind that the car will perform well as a track car. Personally, I'm positive I will be able to have better lap times on my RS4 than on my GT3 (I'm FAR from being a good driver). But, I don't think the R8 will be able to match the "seat of my pants" feel or driver feed back of a GT3. Both are great cars. Both will be eye catching and exclusive.

i think you should drive the R8 before making blanket statements on what you *think* it can or cannot do. not trying to be an ***, but this sort of speculation is really pointless.
The word "wow" and Audi R8 wouldn't be in the same sentence for me. More like "wow" and the GT3 ...
Quattro is a tremendous advantage to novice drivers. In more capable hands than mine, the GT3 is a MUCH faster car than the RS4.
My opinions on the R8 are based on my conversations with people who have driven it and my experience with the RS4. They are speculative and most likely pointless.

GT3 all the way. Trust me you will still get looks all over the place. I had a yellow Viper before my white GT3 and somehow the white GT3 gets more looks and compliments. Everyone takes pictures of it driving.

i just saw 2 r8's in the flesh and they are much more impressive live than in fotos. i think the blades are a great style idea that will be copied by others
regardless, the gt3 is not comparable to r8 at all. compare the r8 to the turbo makes much more sense. the gt3 is strickly for someone who enjoys the 'athletic feel' of a car over all else. awd, $, refinement all close between tt and r8
i could see taking the r8 over the tt based on style, exotic, sound, etc. for me the gt3 was only option
