One of the guys owned a Ford GT with a few bolt on mods making around 600 whp. We thought it would be an interesting race since my CGT is bone stock. The owner of the evo wanted to make it a three way race (obviously because he knew what he had). On the first race, I left on the third honk and pulled instantly on both cars so I thought I had jumped the gun. That is why you see the brake lights as I thought we were going to restart. Then both cars came flying by me so I got back on the gas. After the first race, the ford turned off and was nowhere to be found as I really wanted to run the ford from a clean start as I think it would have been a very good match up. The second race with the evo was a clean start, but everybody knows what evos are capable of with a GT35R and C16 race gas. The evo is a high 9 second car which traps in the mid 140’s, but anything is possible when you start playing with any car. Anyways, it was a fun night out with the guys and next time, I will bring my evo out for a rematch!
Sounds like fun. I always enjoy a good race on the street or track, no matter what type of car it is. Most of the fastest cars out there are pretty ordinary. Even the guys who can afford the exotics often have more fun modifying the more ordinary cars... it's not boring!
