Heel and Toe RS

Please forgive my ignorance but I noticed that I couldn't do "heel and toe" in the RS ,the gas pedal position is very low compared to the brake pedal.

Any info ?

unless your RS is different that the others, the pedal on the car is perfect. are you doing this on the street or track? under hard braking, the pedals are dead level.

does the rennline gas pedal screw onto the stock pedal...or does it replace the entire pedal?

Do you have ceramic brakes or steel? I have not driven with ceramics but I have read that the engagement point for maximal braking is different. I remember reading quite a while ago that very experienced "heel-toers" had no problems with either, but most or less experienced had a tougher time with ceramics which engaged differently (earlier or higher)...the steels seem more foregiving, engaging at a level more even with the gas pedal, depending on the driving/braking situation, of course. Whether you are driving on street or track also seems to make a difference. It also seems to depend on your driving style.

It screws directly onto the gas pedal. They have an additional plate available so that you can adjust either the heel or toe to be higher.

I was pretty proficient at heel/toe in my 996 gt3, can't do it at all in the RS. I have the ceramics, the brakes engage so high that it is almost impossible for me the current way I do it.

I have tried different methods to no avail. Will check into the Rennline pedal.

I just use the left side of my foot to work the brake pedal and the right side of the top of my foot to blip the throttle.

Been watching the posts with interest.

I've got an RS; I've never driven a car before that so much that needs heeling and toeing to get the best out of it. Perhaps its the flywheel.

Get it right and the driving experience is transformed. My car only done about 850 miles so the discs may still need bedding. I've put on a local aftermarket pedal ontop of the existing throttle pedal and that works fine.

Who is that idiot who did the last post?

Bob
