Help me get this deviating stitching order right

Hi,

I'm ordering red stitching on full black leather, red car. I think I have the ordering correct, but have a few questions and want to make sure I get it right.

I've ordered six different option codes, plus 0991. I've also ordered XDZ, gear lever trim in leather, and leather rear center console.

First, do I have all the correct codes? I've ordered the full six stitching codes, there are no more.

Second, how to make sure the rear center console and gear shift trim and boot get the deviating stitching. I don't see a code for the rear console, I assume Porsche just knows it has to be red given all the other red stitching.

I see many photos where the gear shifter stitching is not done correctly, and the steering wheel is stock old stitching. Anyway to fix this?

Any advice on how to get this right would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Here is what I have ordered on my GT3. From my understanding, the shift boot will not have the deviated stitching. I have no idea why, but the same thing happened on my TT.

I would suggest that you place the onus on Porsche and the dealer to get this right. That is, in addition to doing your best to ensure that the salesperson checks (and charges for) the right boxes, I'd draft a note, to be signed by yourself and the dealership, that describes what you want. You could even attach a photo noting the areas you want covered with the proper stitching. Make it their job to get it right with Porsche Germany. And if it comes out wrong, you have the letter obliging them to make it right.
The Porsche list is so long and arcane, and the prices so high that you should not be taking on the risk of getting the order right yourself.

+1. Late 2002 I ordered a 2003 and was very specific about the deviated stitching. The dealer ordered it properly but the factory built it wrong and didn't have the stitching on the door panels. They had to remake those and send them a couple of months later. From what I understand it was very expensive for them to correct this after the fact but it didn't cost me anything and they made it right.

To get it correct, you need to order all of the deviated stitching options plus any other items that are normally stitched need to be replaced with Exclusive items. The leather console cover (with logo) will come with deviating stitching so all you need is an Exclusive shifter/handbrake. I do not have a GT3 order guide, but on the 997TT DAW is one example. DAW includes DAD+CDZ, both with stitching. My car was the first my dealer ever order with the shifter/handbrake done properly, which is utterly unimaginable to me.
