Thumbs up I installed the SharkWerks Bypass

I finally had some free time and I installed the SharkWerks exhaust bypass with the RS lightweight tips. The directions were easy to follow and I completed the project without any issues.

One thing I did before I installed the bypass was I painted the face plate black. This is the area where either the OEM exhaust tips or RS exhaust tips are attached. I heard from other members that the polished steel could be seen from the back thru the exhaust tips. Over time it would eventually turn black on its own, but I did not want to wait. So, I painted the face plate with a high heat (2000 deg) primer and flat black paint. I think it turned out great.

All I can say is WOW!! The SharkWerks exhaust bypass with the RS lightweight tips sounds great. It definitely unleashed the beast. You get to about the 3500-4000 rpm range and the engine starts to roar. The sound clips I have heard on youtube, don't give the full effect. The sound is soooo much better in person. I am beyond satisfied with the SharkWerks bypass.

Thanks to everyone for their recommendations and a big shout out to the guys at SharkWerks.

Ah thanks Born2Run... so glad you like it and good idea on the high-temp paint. We do that too sometimes although with a couple of hundred miles it pretty much goes black there too Enjoy and good placement of the shark

Hehe thanks... and seriously as I've said before your guys support, encouragement and excitement is what this is all about. For all you guys (and there's some 250+ of you now) with our exhaust this Email and picture from one of our customer's might make you giddy:P

"Hey Alex,
How are you? Did I tell you already that I spent a weekend in Austria for a drift event in snow and ice? One of the instructors was Walter Röhrl, he even drove with my GT3 and – of course – he pressed the sport button and was very impressed of the “unusual” sound of this GT3 J I attached a picture, the person with the blue jacket is Walter, the guy with the white beanie a leader of the “shaolin school” in Vienna.
Regards, Tom"

This has me thinking... here I am scared of the rain

red is quite nice indeed but that pic of the white one is  i still would love to see a blue GT3 (not that light shade of blue but a more darker blue similar to bmw's interlagos blue)

Got a few red and white ones here:
http://sharkwerks.com/porsche/997-gt3-gt3-rs/

But none of the blue's (yet I hope)... I liked the older mexico blue and other funky 964 colors but they seem to have vanished from the newer cars

What was your reasoning for going center muffler delete versus side? I am looking to do one or the other soon.
