Questions about GT3 options....

Well, oneday in the near future i plan to hopefully order a GT3. The only thing is i am not to fimiliar with the options on the car. The porsche website is also not the most user friendly. I see on the options that things like carbon fiber, leather headliner etc... are no charge options? Now is that correct? or is there website just not right. It seems like an awful lot of things they are showing as a no charge option when most would normally equal up to be a few thousand dollars extra on another model. I also dont know which seats are standard? is it an option to have the seats they show in the pictures that come on the GT2? I did not see that anywhere nor did i see an option for that rollbar in the pictures.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Good luck.

The rollbar and the one piece "GT3" seats are not available as factory installed options. However, they are common aftermarket upgrades. Trust me, they charge for all the options. Things like the AC and radio are standard, deleting is the only no cost option there.

go to www.renntech.com to download the lastest order guide. however, i believe all GT3 are built there will be no more allocation left for GT3. buy what's on the lot is your last chance.

Arling is right. 996GT3 production is done. Your only choices are what you find on the lot. Over 50 new ones supposedly available nationwide.

Awwww ****. I cannot believe i cannot order one anymore! I am so pissed! I saw one that would have been perfect for me at my local dealer about 4 months ago, but i was not ready to buy then. I somehow prefer a new car and would rather not have a used one. I really dont wanna settle on a color, but if i can find a speed yellow in about 2-3 months new that would be great. But since you guys are saying there all on the dealers lot, i doubt they will have any left in that time.

Thanks for everyones help btw.

sorry, it's www.renntech.org

it's a Porsche site not the Renntech u think for MB.

btw, agree with u on ordering a car because the feeling in indeed is diferent from buying a car on the lot. sorry to tell u though even now is pretty tough to find the close option car u're looking for not to mention in few months. good luck!

Ahh ok, that site works. Never knew of another renntech for porsches.

I am wondering if i should just get a Carrera S instead of the GT3. I just wish they had the aero kit option avaliable now. Maybe i should just go with a tech art kit? But i know no matter what i do, it still wont feel as raw as the GT3.

Now that i heard this news on the GT3, i am not considering a Turbo again.

for the GT3 , no options are really required

some nice ones to have are xenons, full leather, and thats about it.

usually GT3 seats, rollbar, 6pt harness go in right away.

USA totals are tracked by someone on Rennlist. Look at the threads in the GT3 section over there.
