Test Drove a 2011 GT3RS
I made a mistake and stopped by a Southern California Porsche dealer and test drove a 2011 GT3RS. Should not have done that! The car is simply incredible. The sound and the handling of the car is amazing. I had assumed it would be a hard ride but it definitely wasn't. I have a 2010 turbo which is amazing and isn't going anywhere, but my 2009 C4S with TechArt Aero kit may have to go. It definitely is easy to get addicted to these cars. The temptation! Anyone here got a 2010 or 2011 GT3RS that can talk me out of getting one!
That's what I'm afraid of!
Really good to know! How long have you had it? Any other advice on it the car?

I actually have a GT3 and have had it about a year now.
I ordered my car and it came with very few options like sport bucket seats, steel brakes, dynamic engine mounts and front end lift.
The car is really good from the factory and I don't see much that needs to be done to it unless you track the car a lot. With the exception of doing the center exhaust bypass. I added the Sharkwerks bypass and it is really great sounding.
There are plenty of GT3's and RS's in dealers inventory so you might have to do some searching for the right optioned car for you.
Good luck with search.

No, it was greyblack. I actually like the white but since my 2010 turbo is white I would want a different colour. You are thinking of getting one too? All Porsches are impressive to look at and the GT3RS is very special for sure.

I am really leaning towards it. You are right, after driving the GT3RS, my 2010 turbo is definitely faster but the whole GT3RS drive was incredible. I think I may have to sacrafice my 2009 C4S. I really like the look of my C4S after adding the TechArt kit but the lure of a GT3RS is something else!
That's a lesson I need to learn! It's the kiss of death taking one out for a drive. LOL. Especially when they took me out on a twisty mountain!
I would get the one I test drove which was a grey/black with subtle white good metalic contrast. It's not an overpowering colour scheme. I like the Carrara white but my turbo is Carrara white.
