Below is some information about the dinner......sounds like a must happen event
Chris is a very well respected journalist and racer in the UK and is best known for his passion regarding anything Porsche. He has written for many of the major automotive publications. Chris currently writes for EVO Magazine in the UK and Excellence Magazine here in the US along with many on line automotive videos. He is well known to many Porsche enthusiasts here in the US. For those who dont know him I think they will find his presentation to be enjoyable, informative and humorous. He will be speaking on the following subjects.
His first driving impressions of the new 911 (991)
This years Carrera Cup at the Nurburgring which he finished second in his class (in atrocious weather)
This years 24 Hour Nurburgring Race, his team also finished 2nd in class
Last years 24 Hour Race where he drove a production GT3 RS for the factory
His experience with the new GT3 RS 4.0 which he owns
The differences between track days here in the US and in the UK
Driving a GT2 RS up the hill at Goodwood for Porsche GB
The process EVO Magazine goes through for choosing their Sport Car of the Year.
The race he did at the Nurburgring last year with Walter Rohrl as his co-driver.
General question and answer session.
The event will be held at a restaurant that has a private dinning area that can seat up to 75 people; its about 10 minutes from Road Atlanta. The price is $40 per head and includes appetizers, dinner and non alcoholic drinks. The doors will open at 6:30, dinner will be served at 7:30 (buffet style) and Chris will start speaking at 8:30. We expect his presentation to last about an hour and a half depending on the length of the question and answer session.
