Torque wrench

I'm a new 2007 GT3RS owner. Just had my first track experience at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX this weekend. Two words to describe it...YES PLEASE!! I'm hooked and need to get some tools. First on my list is torque wrench for my wheels. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

1. What should I get?
2. Torque spec on 2007 GT3RS.

Precision Instruments split beam torque wrench.

Drive size

What drive size do I need? Anything more reasonable than Precision Instrument?

I can't speak for the drive size. As far as more reasonable (I'm guessing that means less expensive) Car Craft magazine did a test of a harbor freight 1/2in drive torque wrench and the margin of error was less than 1%. You can search for the test (can't post links yet).

We offer the Schwaben reversible ½-inch drive click-to-stop torque wrench has a torque range of 10 to 150 ft-lb, accurate to within +/-4%.
This sturdy steel wrench has a polished chrome finish, quick reverse lever, and knurled locking handle to maintain the selected torque setting when in use. Packaged in its own carry case, the wrench is 18 inches long. For more information Click Here

Sears/Craftsman makes a great torque wrench specifically for wheels. it is long, and has a range of 5 to 250 ft lb or something like that. Very reasonable at a little over $100. All you need. I would invest in a good pressure gauge like Longacre. If you have not done so get a good track alignment. Many in town can help, I always used John G at Boardwalk.

Sears Craftsman will be adequate. If you want to go more high end look at a Snap On.

Craftsman typically have a plastic adjustment collar
This typically breaks
Craftsman "lifetime" warranty does not apply to torque wrenches

Buy right - buy once

I should have said craftsman is for the track toolbox. A tool you can leave in the car or trailer. Snap on for your home toolbox and use it on everything, especially suspension bits and caliper bolts. I would not put that craftsman on anything other than wheel bolts. If you are buying one, buy Snap On as others have said. Expensive, but after owning both I can tell you there is a HUGE difference in quality and feel.
