Six-point for GT?

Has anyone made any progress in getting a six-point harness installed in their GT? Or at least any information on who may have done this for someone?

I was looking into doing a harness setup in one a few days ago, but I am leaning towards 5 point. Porsche uses a five point system in their race equipped GT's and I have to assume there is a good reason why (easier, less modification?) Marc

Are you doing this in a GT or other car?

I talked with Porsche North America, and they will not sell and/or install any racing gear in the GT. Even though it has seats ready for a harness, it has to be done by a third party vendor.

I'm just looking for someone with experience doing a GT without poking holes into the carbon fiber.

I know some race shops will make a bar that goes under the seat and attaches to the seat's front mounting bolts, that might be an option for the crotch strap(s). Also, ask some of the porsche aftermarket companies (Ruf, Techart, etc...) They could have more ideas.

Edit: For instance, here's a sub strap mount for a boxter and 996. Haven't found one for a CGT yet. website

should'nt matter on the install whether it's a 5 pt or 6 point. The both will need a sub bar under the seat. Go with a 6pt. Your nuts will thank you.
