The 996 GT3 i feel was built as a old school,back to basics raw track car.So much research and development has gone into making a such a precision machine.We've all done our homework before we pulled the trigger and bought this car.Its proved to be a "winner".For all those who follow the fad of newer is better,I hope you dont regret selling this piece of history for a beefed up 997.Maybe im wrong,but for now Im keepin' mine.

Drove mine today for the first time in 10 days....Man it just brings a smile to my face.


My wife and I just ordered a new BMW 550i. The salesman wanted to ride in the three. I believe he though the 550 would be close in pull. He just sat in the seat with the biggest grin you've ever seen. He said he'd never been in anything that pulled like that..


The car is an absolute BLAST!

 

Gotta love it...nothing like the 385hp normally aspirated pull of the enigne in the 3 thats my next P-Car...

 

I'm glad I'm not alone here.I know the feeling ROLO.I havent driven my car in a while,I took it out the other day,nothing beats that feeling of pulling past the 5-6k rpm mark when the exhaust starts to really sing and the car feels like it can pull forever,you get those nervious butterflies in your stomach, palms start to sweat when you look down at the speedo..120mph..ok enough.brake. BRB going out for a ride in my "996GT3"my modern day classic.

Rolo, I'm amazed how similar car folks think. I like my wifes 530XI so much I decided to try an M5, very disapointed to say the least, so I got a silver gray 550I with sport pack and other stuff. What a great car. Much nicer as a daily driver than an M5, which is only fun when the gas is to the floor. Great choice Rolo

 

yea, i really feel in all honesty if i drove a GT3 i would trade my turbo in for it in a second

 

Maybe a silly question but can a gt3 keep up with a turbo or turbo s in a straight line drag? Which has more pull from 0 - 100?
