What's irritating is that nowhere in the CNN article is the Ariel Atom mentioned once. It reads like he completely invented a whole new car, instead of adapting a current car. If I ran Ariel, I'd be pissed.

How do you make that chasis street legal? It's about as safe as a motorcycle. I'd like to see the foam crash restraint system like Demolition Man or IRobot before I drive one with all the trucks and SUV on highway.

Not sure if I agree with that guy acting as if he made the car from scratch, calling it something different and saying its a concept car and then saying he will mas produce them, its not his car. He just did an electric motor swap on an atom, stuff like this gets me irritated, but the car is *****in no doubt. He should have gave cred to the guys at Ariel for doing sucha great job on the chassis, without that chassis that man would have a motor and a dream, cant get featured on CNN for that.

That video is absolutely meaningless. The 360 and CGT spun their tires the whole way down the track and the CGT driver completely missed a gear. That thing trapped at 112mph, the CGT traps in the 130's.
I love the Atom, but this video is very misleading.
Here's a clip of me in the CGT at the strip. I rolled on the throttle, granny shifted, spun the tires in every gear and still trapped in the mid 120's

Don't take the Atom/CGT video too seriously...it's more about showing how an electrical can be fast rather than showing an Atom beating a Carrera GT
