Ford GT or Aventador
Just because you have read a forum does not make you a expert. If you have read the GT forum then you must be a "expert" on who I am. I'm Mullet on the GT forum.
I like how you compare the GT motor's power (a 2005 model) to a modern Shelby (a 2011-2012 model?). Yes a newer car is going to have more power. How about you take a 1000 hp Shelby and a 1000 hp GT. Which one is going to be faster.....the answer is the GT. If you want to test that bring a 1000hp Shelby to Houston and I will run it with my 1000 hp GT.

Bench racing hat on:
A well setup GT has the advantage..................rear engine = more traction. IMO
I'll give you that there are much more parts out there for a Mustang to be well setup but in the hypothetical a rear engine platform will have better traction.

What does a 1000rwhp GT run the the 1/4 mile, what is you best time with your car so far? I know about two or three high 8 second gt500 that are around the 1000rwhp mark. Those 8 second cars have autos, but there are some running mid 9's with a 6 speed.
I've run 10.27 at 146. My car is not well setup for 1/4
Its EXACTLY the same as i drive it on the street and the Mike My car isn't the point here nor is a mustang that has run a certain number.

If I were making tons of cash...I mean $500K plus a year, then I would get the Lambo and send it to UG Racing for the $100k plus full monty TT package.
If not, I would take the FordGT since Ford has already paid for the R and D and it can reliably make $1K HP all day on a stock block.
BTW, most on here ARE bench racers. Mullet is not, he backs up his mouth/posts.

Please note comments in bold, if you are interested in reality:
Outstanding bench racing!
Not an expert at all, but know more than you may give me credit for.
I have spent a lot of time on Fordgtforum.com reading threads over the past few years, like I have spent time on many other forums of cars that interest me.
I have read the threads that show these engines taken apart and read the details like the stronger parts involved and how guys screw with them to make more power. So I know a lot of info, enough to stand by my statement that the 5.4 V8 in the GT is IMO nothing special in the scheme of things at Ford, yet very capable. WRONG
I have never liked supercharged or turbocharged passenger cars. Don't care about ridiculous HP numbers as they are useless in the real world. WRONG...There are tons of vids (in Mexico of course) of Mullet and others getting "real world use" of high hp of high HPAnd I do know more than the average car enthusiast about engines. I have removed mine from my car and serviced it. So, and oil change makes you and expert...WRONG I have also bought a rare spare for my vehicle and have taken the engine apart.
Here is not the exact video but close enough for what I consider a special engine from Ford

I was going to mention a thread I remember on the GTforum about a trip that a group took from near Vancouver down into the US along the Rockies. It had some of the best car photo's I have ever seen.
