GTS or Turbo

I have a 2017 Macan GTS on lease until July. The car has all the options I could want but am wondering if I would be better to buy a used Turbo in July instead of excersing the purchase option in the lease at $56,000 - car has 16,000 miles. Have only driven a turbo once so hard to get an impression if the HP and torque difference is worth the extra price.

Good question!

I test drove a GTS and Turbo several months ago. Loved both of them, but after driving the Turbo, I knew I wanted the extra power (even though I do wish it had less turbo lag...or perhaps it just takes more time for the twin turbos to spool up than I'm use to since these Macans are heavy)!

Once the turbos spool up however, its go time! And all grins on this end, since my Macan Turbo is badgeless, and a quite a surprise to those who feel the need to test the torque and handling of a Macan!

I own a Turbo. To my knowledge, the 3.6L TT will not be offered in 2019 and beyond. IMO, I believe this engine will increase in value due to the engne enhancements you can use and get some tremendous numbers. AWD? Sport UTE? Chrono Pkg? Got yourself something there...

Just my opinion.

I'm looking to sell my 2015 Turbo, 29k miles, white exterior with matched side blade, black leather interior. 20" Spider wheels.

Would be much cheaper than your $56k buyout. I'm asking $51,999.

I just joined the site and looking to get into a Macan... do you have an options list or window sticker you can share?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I've tried the build sheet generators online but cannot get a build sheet for the Macan for some reason. Works on my 911, so not sure what the issue is. Are there specific options you're looking for? I think the only options it doesn't have is the Sport+, sport exhaust and air suspension, otherwise the Turbos are pretty loaded. Unfortunately don't have the window sticker either.

Just drove a 15 Turbo and an 18 GTS. The GTS was way more impressive in performance IMO.
Now to find a nice CPO d one.

If you can find one, get a Turbo GTS. Then you'll have the best of both! (Also known as a Turbo PP.)
