4.2 vs 4.7 .. regrets ?

.
a fellow on the Panamera site threaded this : "How to get more speed in a v6?"

all replies said he'd screwed up and needed to get a V8

my question is, for those who've gotten the 4.2 GT, do you really wish you'd gotten the 4.7 instead - or are you completely happy with the performance of the 4.2 ?

yes, I know the larger displacement will give larger performance but for us non-speed freaks is, well I've asked above...

thanks

If you're an alpha male type, I don't think you'd enjoy having the smaller, less adequate engine, regardless of performance differences.

That confirms my gut feeling, having not driven either yet. Thanks.

I bought the 4.7, 4.2 not even an option. Worth the money. I added the DBW and ECU add ons which make it even better. Sport cats next.

986_c6 is on a distinguished road
In my model year, the 4.7 was not even an option. I think the 4.2 is more than adequate for the intended purpose of this sedan. Have not even thought about upgrading to the 4.7 at all.

Now, to get the GT-S rear section/sound, definitely going to do that muffler swap in the near future!!!!
