I'm going to Summit tomorrow for the Aston Martin track day. I received this as well but thought it was Audi only since it's hosted by the Audi club.

If you have ever thought about taking your car on the track to see how it can do, get the real feel, etc. This is the perfect opportunity at the lowest cost available. You don't need to get all this equipment, nor do you need to buy all new brakes, tires, etc. You can arrive and drive with stock everything. Only thing you need to do is get a tech form signed off on that says you aren't leaking any fluids, your brake pads are at least 50% or more, tires aren't showing metal like some fool that drives a red Porsche. This is your chance. The more we have come out makes it that much more of an event rather than just running through the motions. It's really a great time. You run at your own pace and the instructor gives you invaluable tips. 'get all your braking and down-shifting done BEFORE the turns' 'don't watch the guy in front of you, make and stick to your own line' 'giving a point-by doesn't mean the other guy is winning'. Really great stuff and a blast once you have done it once. I have never gone back to auto crossing since hitting Summit the first time.

Scott is right... This is a great opportunity for you to learn your car in a low stress environment. NO TECH INSPECTION IS REQUIRED... Bring your car exactly the way you drive it on the street. The cost is $190.00. Here are the rules:

General Rules and Regs:

Driver School Event Rules - This page contains information specific to our two-day Drivers' Education events, but much of it applies to this event including license, membership, car-sharing, and refunds/cancellations.

Unfortunately, SUVs are NOT permitted.

Convertibles are permitted IF an approved, aftermarket rollbar/hoop is installed per specifications noted in the Driver School Event Rules.

No special tires or brakes or other car modifications are required. Learn more about your car just as it sits! Simply make sure the existing tires and brakes and other mechanical equipment are in good condition. You should have had your brake fluid replaced in the last 2 years.

The event does not require a tech inspection but we will perform an inspection at the track on the morning of the event. We will email a sample list of items that will be checked at the event tech inspection.

It will be a full day from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Given the schedule is tight, it is best to arrive no later then 7:00 am at the Jefferson Circuit, so we can complete registration and other logistics. The Summit Point gate attendant will direct you to the proper track (there are 3).

Bull,

Is it an Audi only event or is it open to former Audi owners, hence me getting an invite

FYI: This track day seems to be geared more towards beginners. Less track time and more teaching driving dynamics.
