here we go again guys...

http://www.2009gtr.com/2009/04/nissa...ing-72756.html

i imagine they used the club sport wheels because of the offset and less unsprung weight.

this is not the spec-v.

I read an article saying those wheels are an option for MY2009 cars. still wish they shared the time of the specV with the public.

wow that is good news... did they happen to release the times for the 370z as well?

So to be clear the clubsport package is all those upgrades together?

Oh and heres the article from nagtroc: http://www.gtrblog.com/2009/04/16/ni...burgring-7-27/

"As promised, to keep everything above board, members of the press were in attendance as well as representatives from Porsche Stuttgart."

club sport has 3 individual packages, but can be purchased as one. the club sport wheels come standard on the spec-v.

There is no other thread here, this is it.

MC has focused his incredible powers of GT-R hatred on the 7:27 thread that has been created in the 996 GT2 section.

Now his powers are waning so he cannot afford to have two 7:27.56 threads to deal with at the same time.

MC, dont worry, I'll take care of this thread:

Nissan Lied.

There you go!

So is the consensus here that the improved time has more to do with the wheel/tire combination, or the new suspension upgrades? Does anyone know what those upgrades are specifically? I sincerely doubt 5 hp alone is making the difference.

the wheels/tires & suspension definitely would make the difference. it's not the peak 5hp that is going to make any difference, but rather the usable torque under the curve that was adjusted as well.

so it appears it's just a combination of everything.

Remarkable feat.

Also interested to see what the Porsche reps have to say.
