Switzer R1KX on the way
Alpha 12 did 0-150mph in 7.89 and 0-160mph in 8.91 sec? Wow, this numbers is fast as hell ! 9.10@159 is not the quickest alpha run? Btw, best Switzer time for 0-130mph run is 6.16 sec? 0-60mph in 2.31 + 60-130mph in 3.85..thats true? But again, alpha 12 did 0-132mph in 6.08... And of day, switzer is going head to head with alpha 12 car. Divexxtreme,do you wanna know what Im thinking about? I think your switzer r1 with best available setup will go 0-130 under 6s and smashed alpha 12 all the way! 0-186 under 12sec, Im sure will be under 12
If I can do it, anyone can do it...
Monday - "Neil, is my car done yet?"...."Not yet"
Tuesday - "Neil, is my car done yet?"...."Not yet"
Wednesday - "Neil, is my car done yet?"...."Not yet"
Thursday - "Neil, is my car done yet?"...."Not yet"
Friday - "Neil, is my car done yet"?...."*** OFF ASHOLE, NOT YET"
(JK about the last part, lol)

I will say, though...that it really helps that Tym and Neil text me routine updates and pics. Keeps me sane.

The only problem is I don't know where I'm going to be able to do a 0-186 mph run, since I have no intention of competing in the TX Mile.

If Scott wanted Switzer to build a shop/drag car to chase records, he would have spec'd this car differently. It's not a big piston/stroker GTR with monster turbos. It's just a slightly tweaked R1K. That being said, I can't wait to see how close they get to an 8 second pass though. I'm sure there will be faster purpose built GTR's out there later this year. But I'd bet on this car every day of the week when a full night of street racing is on the agenda.
Correct. Those times are P-box measured times that were done during their 9.1 @ 159 1/4 mile run. The differences are due to the way a dragstrip measures acceleration from a stop compared to the way the p-box does.
Yes, that is also correct. To date, that is the fastest Switzer R1K time.
I certainly hope you're right.

That would be a good performance parameter to have some data on.
Wouldn't have to keep your foot in it the entire way.
One hit drag records are great and all....but the difference is Switzer is building street cars that are consistently performing and tuned for day to day drivability. I would much rather own a Switzer car that may (or may not - who knows) be a couple tenths slower in the 1/4 mile, but actually runs without tuning issues and is proven at this hp level. To date, no other GTR shop has even a single 1000hp GTR being consistently driven on the street. They trailer them to the drag strip and back. Hell, I've put just as many street miles on my 7 second Supra as those shops have put on their 9 second GTR's.

That's very true.
