I've got fond memories of Osteria and Zibibbo in downtown Palo Alto, Mac Arthur Park for fancy meals, Chez TJ (incredible!) in Mountain View for romantic stuff, Bucks in Woodside for breakfast, and AG Ferrari (Palo Alto and Los Altos) for quick lunch sandwiches.

Try La Foret in New Almaden for a romantic dinner. Ask for a table near the creek when you make your reservation.

Best wild game I've tasted - some of their offerings I've had are:
Pheasant
Boar
Antelope
Elk

Anyone else been there?

Would you believe i've been in Almaden for 19 years and still haven't been to La Foret? Always meaning to go but never made it out there.

I'm waiting for Coop to hurry their *** up and open. Had the coming soon sign forever. Finally get a good restaurant in Almaden.

I talked with the manager of their Campbell site almost three weeks ago - he said at that time they only needed two more weeks. I've gotta believe it will be opening real soon.

It's going to be a mad-house - when it opens, the crowds will be too much for me

Get yourself to La Foret - it's a gem out in the middle of the back woods.

Mmmmmm.... looks good. I love wild game, plus throw in a drive on Hicks road to get there and I think it will be the perfect dining outing!

They are working on opening the Skyport one as well so I think that's the delay. I've been going to the downtown sj one since they opened. Hopefully almaden will have a bar to hang out at.
