UnF*$kwithables Road Trip

What up my Nor-Cal peeps! We are organizing a road trip right now to San Jose for a Car-n-coffee event sometime between June/July... looking for some fun roads and meet alot of great people. I know that Kirby, Fred, ALex and the crew will be down to have some fun!

Silversurfer and I are going to figure out the details, but we want to work it around a good event and the San Jose event always looks like a good one!

Keep us up to date when the events are held and lets have some fun!!

If you came down on a EuroSunday weekend, you could do Santana Row on Saturday and EuroSunday too. Just a thought.

289FIA_Cobra is infamous around these parts
As far as a drive, I wondered if anyone has considered a drive up to a Mt. Hamilton Observatory then down into the San Antonio Canyon twisites, ending up in the Livermore area? Not sure where to go for lunch ( Rock House Sports Bar on Portola?).

Hamilton would be a great view of the Bay Area on a clear day. IIRC, it's about 20-22 miles from Alum Rock to the top. Another 20-30 miles down into SA / Livermore. Just a thought 'after' Santana Row or Euro Sunday.

The general concensus is to arrive at 9:30AM if you want to get photo/video of all incoming cars. 10AM-10:30AM is when the bulk of the cars stream in. By 11:00-11:30, everyone get's bored and filled up on Peet's Coffee nearby and typically the destination if planned well, should be a place for lunch.

The route I'm thinking of ends either at Pleasanton or Livermore, depending which roads you want to take.

I think when your group get's closer to doing this for real, you should contact us and possibly post it on www.ferrarichat.com for additional ideas.
