Gallardo or F430?
I drove it in Italy three weeks ago with one of the test drivers at my side. I got to see him drive the hell out of it too. I've never driven the Scud so I can't compare the two. I also used a Gallardo for about a week in OC and I can say the LP560-4 is a significant jump over the previous iterations. The car felt lighter and extremely nimble by comparison.

I agree with Mark, people just quoting R&T or any other magazines is just pathetic. That said, I've only driven an F430 and all I can say is that it is a religious experience
The car was in Corsa mode the whole time. Many keep in that mode as the faster shifts cause less clutch wear. Enclosed is a photo of me and the car at the factory.
I can't tell you what a gallardo 560 handles like. I've never driven one. I can tell you I don't like the looks as much as the R8 or Ferrari's. That's a view on looks.
Cars are like women. You can comment on looks but until you've ridden them you really can't tell someone how good they are
You can tell all of us how a car makes you feel. My rub are the guys that are consistently telling "me" how my cars handle and perform when they've most likely never sat in one. I only spew of what I know. That's it.

Now we are talking the same language, and believe me if I told you how many people blast me on an internet forum about my Corvette. I have heard all these things about them, but interestingly enough I ask if they have driven one...and the answer is always no.

Honestly, the most fun was getting to see the test driver do his thing with the car. He like Balboni has been doing it for a very long time. I'm not allowed to disclose testing procedures for their cars, but I can tell you they absolutely drive the hell out of them for hours and hours on end.
This kind of goes along with my Audi TT, it's not the best driving car in the world but I love the looks of it and I enjoy driving it. On the 1st episode in the 11th season of Top Gear they put a gallon of gas into a 599, DBS, LP 640, SLR, R8 and raced them around the track. The LP640 held the lead until it ran out of fuel (4.6 mpg), only to beaten by the R8 (5 mpg).
