Gallardo or F430?
SubscribeHonestly, I don't understand why you would do power-mods to a Scuderia...?

+1 I don't either...the Scuderia is plenty fast enough as is. Besides with these cars, it's more about finesse not about brute power.Originally Posted by CrazyRuskie

The Scuderia needs nothing. The car is about as perfect of a "drivers" car as there is out there. Supremely balanced and dare I say..............easy to drive fast as well. But physics being what it is............if you overdo it, it will still bite you.........and hard.
That said, I don't believe the GT2 needs anything but a sweeter exhaust note. Something in kin to a Cup car. Then it would be perfect. Definitley not as easy to drive fast as a Scuderia...........but rewarding it its own right. Both cars are the best of the breed.

Everyone has an opinion, I feel outright speed or outright handling isn't the real reason to buy an exotic. Let's face it the ZR1 is the equal or better of even cars like the GT2 or the Scuderia. But it costs $100k because it doesn't have the brand cache, or emotional draw, or perceived value to compete with the exotics.
It's like the difference between the XJR and the Maserati QP. Other than a maybe at the best 10% better handling balance the XJR does everything the QP does. But it doesn't do the intangible things that create that infatuation for a car that the Maser does. The question is how does it make you feel? For me the Lambo has the drama and the slight bit of rawness I like. For others the Ferrari has that sensual and emotional appeal.
Dude do you own an exotic? Have you driven both the F430 and Gallardo enough to really have an opinion, let alone talking about how a GT2 and Scuderia won't have enough power and need mods... Originally Posted by germeezy1

That car has amazingly high resale and since that seems to be the main purchase decision than maybe Tommy should get rid of the LP640 and keep his LS460?Everyone has an opinion, I feel outright speed or outright handling isn't the real reason to buy an exotic. I think we should leave the opinions to people who own/have driven one or both cars enough to have a real valuable opinion.

I agree with Vasilly, I really don't think you're qualified to give an opinion simply because of that.Originally Posted by CrazyRuskie

If that we're true, there would be no comment about my car because it's the only LP640 roadster in the state, and I know who's driven it so far. Yet, there are constant posts about the limitations of Lamborginis by people who have never driven one and I think it's fine to have a point of view, even if mine differs. I don't think I'd participate in a forum where the only discourse is from owners and drivers of those actual cars. That would make for a very dull forum.Originally Posted by CrazyRuskie

Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion... however, I wouldn't have an opinion about an F430 or Gallardo if I hadn't driven one or either car, or at least a similar Ferrari/Lamborghini... My only opinion would be on looks/sound and what others are saying about them. I wouldn't be telling someone to buy one or the other unless I have experience with one or the other, or even better, both.
Just my opinion of course.
Just my opinion of course.
READ my post, wow some well educated people in this forum to not read correctly. The post was me thinking out loud it was a question to myself. Only truly insane speed obsessed maniacal people like me would think that way. But I will make it known speed and driving is my drug, I don't need anthing but a windy road and a powerful sports car.
Also for you reading impaired people, you will notice the post Rusky responded too talks about how the car makes you feel. Last time I checked Tommy's LP640 gives me a tingly feeling and I have never driven it.
Calm down a little bit guys, this is a car forum. And Ruskie have you ever driven a car that can truly scare you? I drive one everyday so I am alot more qualified to speak on this subject than you may think.

My only point in this thread is to let the people who have driven or own a Ferrari or Lambo give the OP their opinion on which car he should get lol.
Although, I think what the OP needs to do is go drive both cars and decide for himself!

I have a new BMC air filter for your GT2 if you need one.Originally Posted by Kuzi

And to let you know that I really should be committed. My car has a handy little system. Most of the time I drive around in a car that has 500 hp but with this system it can up it to 720.
Now the max is set at 670. But it truly barely provides the adrenalin rush I need at the present. Every car gets slow and the adrenalin rush fades after a while to me.
I think 4 digit hp is really the only cure to my addiction.
And yes I am crazy....
