I think its slow, but then again in my mind 9 seconds is fast!

I've got a memory like a steel trap didn't have to look back but you're posting of driving a scary car everyday you drive it.

I raced spec miatas one weekend when my Porsche didn't have a class to race. Rented it and had a blast. I got beat bad that day but had a great race with 5 others. The 4 top miata guys are real good in those things. it's an art to race something that only does 114 mph

 

My good friend raced Pro-7 and Spec Miata, he always told me the Miata guys rarely replaced pads or tires....they just washed the cars...LOL

I sat in enough paddocks over the years next to those little things. I'd use 2 sets of tires on my Porsche for the weekend and they'd show up in the car towing race tires and drive the car home after the race. It was hysterical. I spent more on tires in a weekend of SCCA racing than they did all year. My budget racing across the country for 1 weekend would buy a miata and race it for the year. Great first time racecars for sure

 

Yeah his Miata now has a 375 hp 5.0 in it , and yes he is as crazy as me!
