my first day with PCA that is... Few freinds been warned me left and right, in fact, I met my friend who is one of the instructor and he told me that me and buddy already been "black listed" as (good drivers, tend to be too racy..LOL) the worst of all was that it pretty much wet track the whole day wherears the forecast said sunny and 20% precipatation... Well, looks like we got the whole 20%! There were more than a few cars came with R compounds and needless to say, not being able to push it at all.
I was signed with a super cool instructor and got released by him rightaway, but then think back, I never had an instructor (other than a few friends we rode along) in my car for 5 years now. Some friend think that it's a humiliation, I actually very glad that he rode with me. He actually pick up a few subtle things that helped me quite a bit, give me something to learn about. You can always benefit from an instructor, no matter how fast you already are. Too bad for the rest of the day, we didn't get to ride together.
other than that, the nuisances of cold rainy track day. Sure enough, by around 4pm, DRY TRACK!!! I put my R compounds back on, ride with my buddy again and we both did a few laps and called it a day.
there were a few cars that ran in different groups: F355, GT2, GT3, GTR, Corvette Z06R, a 500hp 350z, a few classic 911 Carrera RS. In fact there was a Gallardo but he took off after 1st session.
My friend was visiting from WI, he took about 200 pics since he couldn't even catch a ride from my instructor friend. (PCA rules of no passengers due to their insurance.) so hopefully I got some pics from him and will post up here.

I usually hit the track 5-6 times a year. Unless I'm getting hooked up to become an instructor, I doubt I'll go back that much this year in this economy.
